We are an Auckland company, founded in 2017, looking after homes across the city and a growing set of New Zealand destinations. Every home is visited and checked by someone here, and every guest gets the same team, seven days a week.

Why we started

Great trips fall apart when the stay is not right. A listing that flattered the place. A key that does not turn up. A number nobody answers on a Sunday.

As Aucklanders, we knew guests wanted truthful listings and human help, and we knew property owners wanted a manager who treats a home like an asset rather than inventory. Stayhub exists to be both of those things at once, because they turn out to be the same job done properly.

Today we look after homes right across Auckland, and in Rotorua, Taupo and Tauranga. We would still rather turn a property away than list something we would not stay in ourselves.

2008
Where it started

Our Managing Director, Eric Hammond, starts hosting through Couchsurfing. A decade of hands-on experience in the shared economy follows, and with it the hospitality habits Stayhub is built on.
2017
Stayhub is founded

Stayhub opens its doors in Auckland on a simple idea: a short stay should feel hosted, not processed. Truthful listings, human help, and homes looked after properly between guests.
2020
We expand

Stayhub grows to a dedicated team of four and takes its first headquarters in the Auckland CBD, settling in as a local firm with a name to protect.
2021
Market leaders

The portfolio doubles. The team grows with it and moves into a larger office to keep up with a growing community of owners, and the guests who stay with them.

Across New Zealand

A market leader in Auckland, now hosting in Rotorua, Taupo and Tauranga too, from our flagship hub in Grafton. Same local roots, bigger standards.
